The idea for Juno Baby sprouted four years ago when we were expecting our first child. Allowing for the possibility that our genes might not do it all, we gravitated toward products that implied they could turn a creature that likes to chew on a burp cloth into a genius like Einstein or Mozart. To say we were disappointed with what was out there is an understatement. Synthesized classical music and hackneyed three chord kiddie rock songs were everywhere. And just when we thought every rendition of "Wheels on the Bus" had been done, out comes the Reggae version.
The challenge was to create and share something beautiful, thoughtful,
interactive, artistic, and educational; but above all, musical
and fun.
With backrounds rooted in music as a composer, performer, and
educator (Belinda)
and exceptional production and directorial skills (Adam), we felt
we had something special to offer. However, what started out as
a simple idea turned out to be anything but. After years of production
and with input from experts
in child development, Fraggle Rock alum, Skywalker Sound music
editors, Spanish and French voice over talent, and a small live
orchestra of musicians, we feel we've achieved something that
we're infinitely proud of and excited to share.
